
A Tampa Filmmaker went to North Dakota to meditate on the meaning of love, the results are gorgeous
“Crosby Rail” takes an objective look at untouched, rural America, and unveils a little about ourselves in the process. “It’s hard to tell when love really starts, you know.” That’s what Lloyd Johnson tells his grandson, Dylan Melcher, in the short film, “Crosby Rail.”
The award-winning short, shot and directed by Melcher, 30, was released to the public this week and visually chronicles a journey to his grandparents’ hometown of Crosby, North Dakota, just a few miles south

March 17th 2014 – While driving to a friend’s house, I noticed something colorful happening in the Sulfur Spring Tower park in Tampa, Florida. Holi, the festival of colors is wonderful way to spend the day. Everyone was so nice and hospitable. For those of you in Tampa, keep a eye out for this fantastic springtime Hindu holiday. Something I never really expected to find when I installed Instagram was the sense of artistic community hidden in the back alleys in a maze of life’s static images. Yes, Instagram can be an application filled with low-res photos of what someone ate that day, or pixelated images of sappy quotes taken off tumblr, but it all comes down to where you look and who you connect with.
